Yes, they belong to someone.
Prperty is either private, common or public. Common and public are managed by councils on our behalf and you cannot help your self to anything, even if its rubbish ( or fallen trees )
Private land includes National trust, english nature, MINE !, and just about most land in the UK

Yes - it is illegal. The trees may belong to an area that has a management plan and leaving a % of fallen dead wood for wildlife is often included in the plan. You can only cut it up if it is on your property or if you has permission from the landowner (may be the council or some nature conservation organisation).

If the fallen trees are not on private property, where are they? All land belongs to someone, and trees growing there belong too. You need to seek permission from the land owner, which may be the local council.

If the land that the fallen trees are on have no notice boards up..I dont think it will be illegal, but be cautious the land might belong to a landowner who doe'nt always put boards up.

Possibly. Anything on public land belongs to the King. You need a permit to be safe.

many times the tree's proprietor (whether it fairly is on somebody's belongings). whether it fairly is on publicly maintained land, the gov't would desire to be... yet there are particularly some exlusions for passing on public land at your person threat. Get a criminal expert to inspect.

That depends on where they are. Not in a public park, of course. Probably not in a state or national forest, either.

You could always ask, the owner might be grateful to see it shifted for free. And if you don't ask you don't get(unless your a thieving toe rag!)

just ask the land owner .most will happily allow you to take them as it saves them doing it.but do ask as it may be seen as theft otherwise an may incur a hefty fine .
