She just came across it and gave it to me today but it was dated for October 26th. I am so frickin confused!!! The citation, I supposidly got it in July for driving with a suspended license and this citation is under my maiden name and old drivers license # which doesn't even exist anymore! I changed my maiden name in February on my license because I got married and I even updated my address. I did get a citation in February for driving while license suspended but I paid that and even still have the receipt...I think I may not have taken the driver class though. Anyways, the address they sent this suspension warning to I HAVE NEVER EVER LIVED AT OR EVEN HAD IT ON MY LICENSE so how did they get it? Will this effect my current license? If so then why not send this directly to me at the correct address on my new license? I know I should call them but they aren't open right now and I would just like some input.

Also, when I was pulled over in Feb for the license suspension...the cop took my DL and that was the ONLY DL I ever had which had an address on it that I lived at 6 years ago. I have moved 4 times since then and my mom has moved 2.

OK Some seem to not be reading correctly! I HAVE NEVER LIVED AT THE ADDRESS THE LETTER WAS SENT (UNDER EITHER MY MAIDEN OR MARRIED NAME) AND I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY MAIL SENT TO THAT ADDRESS! IF MY OLD DL # IS THE ONE THEY ARE AFTER, HOW CAN IT EFFECT MY CURRENT ONE?! THEY AREN'T LINKED, I CALLED AND THE DMV WAS DUMBFOUNDED...THEY HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT! They said O242 was put in for suspension, only thing is it doesn't exist! Thats all they could help me with!!!! And as for me forgetting if I took the class or not...I am pregnant and very scatter brained, you'd be amazed at what I forget!!

Sounds like only the DMV will be able to answer that one. At best they may be confused by your name change, at worst somebody else is using a license with your old information on it.

To answer your question, Yes this could effect your license!
First thing this morning call DMV or get your butt down there .. there is definately confusion here on both parts.
I think someone at DMV may have forgotten to input your payment from the Feb. suspension which then will kick back through the system at a later date for none payment .
The letter came under your old info because that is when you received the suspension .. They still have all that old info in their computer system.
Also occassionally someone could have written down a number wrong which would then kick out your name and address rather then the true offender ( happened to me)

Make sure you bring the letter , your receipt for payment and any other helpful information. Good Luck

You don't remember if you took the class or not? Sounds like you are trying not to remember. Anyways obviously you did not take the class, so your license has been suspended.

Because of your name and/or address chance they are having problems contacting you directly to tell you that your license has been suspended because you did not take the class. The fact that for some reason they have not been able to contact you directly. Maybe the Post office messed up, who knows. So they are sending the letters to all of your current and previously known addresses. None of this changes the fact that your license has now been suspended.

What ever you do, they'll just keep tracing it back. They;ll spend a million to collect ten. I never got a point in 45 years of driving, and my record looked like a Stephan King novel. I just took the test over and got a phony. Then I got an out of state DL. But if you do that you have to get a new car and new plates, cause if you get stopped, the VIN# won't match the DL# and you'll be suspected of stealing the car. Bear in mind that all the computers are connected now.

You don't. You realize that in a bind, you have no one that you can really rely upon in time of need. What if you got mistakenly arrested? Are these so called "family members" and "friends" gonna get you out or do like they are now... which is make excuses and say, "Sorry, dude, my mom says I can't" REMEMBER THIS. When they come asking for money or a ride in your car (because you will succeed in spite of these jerks) to the store or to work, REMEMBER HOW THEY ARE TREATING YOU NOW. For now, get yourself a girlfriend and use her or her family's car and never forget how "good" your family was to you in your time of need.

Get in touch with your local DMV today. There really is nothing anyone online can do to fix this for you. Something somewhere has gotten screwed up major and you need to show up face to face to get it straightened out.

Contact the court immediately. They know more than what we think. Ask about outstanding warrants. By now it is a warrant.
