Priced tha gutter" topper" types mentioned $$$.
Went w/ the "cheapo" vinyl ones from the lumber yard because of cost.
Been up for years, better than screens. & work just fine.
Have pine needles also, some do get in, but do not clog the gutters a before.
Easy enough to hose out once in a while.

There are several companies that produce gutter guards, gutter helmets. Home improvement stores usually have these if you wish to DIY. Look in the phone book under gutters and you should find the names and numbers of local companies that do this work.
I have a problem with pine needles, I'm not too sure if the gutter guards will handle them since they are so small. If you have pine trees inquire about how effective the guards are against them.

Gutter Guard type products do work. Our neighbors installed a similar system and were more than pleased.

The simplest and least expensive way is to install a gutter screen. If doing it yourself isn't feasible, there are several companies that market various devices.
