I'm sick and tired of people in this country bashing people on benefits.

Newsflash - people on benefits are NOT the problem!

Snide megarich businessmen who cheat this country out of BILLIONS of pounds in tax ARE the problem!

People need to stop swallowing the garbage they read in the tabloids and wake up to the fact that BUSINESS is screwing this country, NOT people on benefits and NOT immigrants!

Because if the people on benefits would show a little personal responsibility they wouldnt have the problems they have. They need to stop making babies they cant afford. They need to stop abusing drugs alcohol and tobacco.
Immigrants do well if they are here legally. The illegal immigrants are costing us all money for education and health care. All this so we can save a dime for a tomato.

As this appears to be a problem in England, I can't directly comment. However in America, the problem also lies in the fact that people start getting benefits, and stop trying to get off of the dole system. I worked at one time in the welfare system, and have had women tell me that the reason that they got pregnant, and had more kids, is because their checks went up. I can extend a lot of sympathy to those that really need help, either part time or full time, but not for the professional "welfare mamas."

I agree. We had to grow up on benefits because my dad was disabled and my mom had to take care of him and three kids. If she worked outside the home, she would have taken home less than staying home. So the options are:

A) Stay home and take care of family, or
B) Be away from home all the time and have less money to live on...

Hmm... tough decision. By the way, our "benefits" amounted to less than $6000/year. (I'm American.) So I totally feel you on the problems with the media and how people are so totally ignorant about these issues. If someone hasn't been in a position to need benefits, they don't understand it. I think it's really that simple.

Decode this lyrics " Don't know much - about misery"
What do we expect living human kind to do?
When they were living in misery with faulty communication system?
When they read the news as "It does not compute"
Like the defective, malfunction humanoids with garbage in and garbage out.
Luke 9.55-56
What do you think?
