I went to my daughter's baby shower yesterday and stood with all the men in the back joking about the football we were missing and watching the women acting like women. We were all there for love but if these women really loved us they wouldn't drag us there and make us feel bad about being so out of place.

Usually the father to be is there, I haven't been to a baby shower that has more than that and a grandfather or two, so with that said...Grandpa...lol I am sure your daughter loved the support and the fact that you cared and love her enough to be there on one of your few days off this crazy time of the year..Have a great day!!!

I think it's OK to invite men to showers,but there should be something men like to do available. It's unfair to expect them to go, to sit around like women talking baby stuff. Involve them (without making them feel stupid) or just let them go do what they want. I think it's sweet that you went,but I feel a shower is for women.Only because most men just feel out of place.

I agree with you. Baby showers and such should be women only (except for the groom/father-to-be, who would be recipient of gifts). That was nice of you to go for them, but boy do I feel for you.
I, personally, hate those types of gatherings (showers) and avoid them as much as possible! LOL!

Yep....My girfriend dragged me to one for her friend. Why..Why...Why..? If there is anything that turns a guy off to having children .......that is it. NO MORE!
