Nope. I don't see the need. There is no military solution to Iraq anyway.

Either we need at least another 200 billion, or the war is officially over. It's the type of war that needs this type of financial maintenance, and it will continue until the war is ended. There's no surprise that more money is requested. It will continue churning this way until all the troops are brought home.
Notice the underlying point there. It will continue churning indefinitely. That means that terrorism will not be miraculously and spontaneously "defeated." Same way liberalism or conservatism can't be defeated. Stifling terrorism is important, but I think it should be clear by now that Iraq is the most irresponsible and inefficient way we could have ever claimed to go about doing it.

Have deaths and violence not gone down more than 50% since the troop surge? Then i think its working. I mean even if you disagree with the war, we are already over there and bush aint going to pull us out any time soon, neither will hillary if shes elected. So would you rather just have our troops sit over there doing nothing? or instead send more over, end violence, get a stable democracy, possibly in the very far off future make an alli out of the whole thing

Although I do wish war cost less monetarily and I wish that I would cost us nothing in the area of troops lives lost, if the fight against Radical Islam was easy wouldn't it be called HAPPY HAPPY Joy Time instead of War. How long do we do this? As long as Radical Islamic clerics send homicide bombers out to kill us.

One thing a lot of that money is used for is to get the local economies up and running again and keep them running. They were destroyed after we invaded. I won't argue about why we did that. But we did it. It is our problem to fix.

In the US, we have to support the military. Fighting terrorism is worth it when the terrorists are defeated. Save your money, and someone might come here and take it from you.
