We normally have our turkey christmas dinner between 1 and 2pm. We have a dessert an hour later if we feel up to it lol!
Throughout the day there are little chocolates and peanuts placed around the house if anyone wants to stuff their face :p
Normally tea is served at around 7pm. We have a huge buffet which includes:
- Variety of Crisps
- Peanuts
- Variety of cheeses and biscuits
- Salad
- Cold meats - Turkey, Chicken and Gammon Ham
- French Bread
- Sausage rolls and little sausages
- Potato Salad
- Coleslaw
- Variety of sandwiches
- Mini Pizzas
- Variety of desserts
That's all i can think of now!
Lets just say theres plenty of yummy food when you spend Christmas with us :)
Have a good one people! xx

Have done it at all times, but now that I am older, if everyone is home for Christmas, I just put it on the table when it is done! This may be anywhere between 2pm and 8pm! We used to do dinner and then Gifts.....this way Christmas lasted longer......may do it again this year, since no little ones will be here. I hate to have to do the gifts and then cook! It is better for me if the work is all out of the way first!

Dinner, after a bit of introspective thought on how Christ must have felt this day, and before the family gathering for the cozy opening of presents from each other.
Afterwards? Never tea. Good sweet champagne on ice, and a few more stuffings from the Christmas ham as Yuletide songs play on the radio (the Chipmunk version!) and everybody talks on, in the cool weather, waiting for the stroke of midnight.
............I simply love Christmas :)

My husband and I try to have the same kinds of meals but only without meat. There are many recipes for loafs: lentil loaves, TVP loaves, rice loaves, well you get the idea. Which works great with a veggie gravy, then add mashed potatoes or mashed sweet potatoes, veggie stuffing (cooked in a casserole dish), usually two kinds of veggies and breads. I like to keep holiday meals somewhat traditional and there are lots of ideas on the web for making delicious veggie food. You do not have to do anything strange to have a nice holiday meal that even non-vegetarians will enjoy.

Well, in my case, we have Christmas dinner early around one thirty because I work on Christmas Day. I work evenings, so I have to eat before I go to work. I normally don't have a tea time; however, I do love tea with lemon. ;)

Usually lunchtime around 1pm or 2pm and then it's either leftovers later to finish the day (Christmas day) or something small and light like a salad in the evening. I'm usually munching on the millions of pounds of chocolate that i get while watching the TV films.
