I'm not Catholic, but I've always wanted to go. I've heard they're beautiful and very meaningful.

What, being childless, or going to midnight mass? :-)
I used to go before I had my daughter and I'd like to take her when she's older. It was lovely, singing carols and seeing all the candles, then walking home through the town on a crisp winter's night. I used to love going.
Now I like watching Carols from Kings on Christmas Eve - that's a pretty good substitute.

I'm not Catholic but I've been to Midnight Service on Christmas Eve and it was always beautiful. The service, all the candles and Christmas lights on the trees plus all the Pointsettas.

Yeah. I'm not catholic, but there is a big, gorgeous cathedral on the corner of my block, so I've gone to midnight mass a few times. That's a good idea. I might go this year. I haven't been since I became a mom.

Every year. My favorite part was checking out the Grassl family.....they opened their gifts on Christmas eve and wore their new clothes to mass.

Yes I know what you mean. I use to go every year when I was a child it was really special.
Getting to stay up late was also a treat.
