Everyone has regrets because none of us has lived a perfect life.

However, every moment we have experienced in our lives from the moment of our birth until this moment in time has made us who we are. It takes the good, bad, wise, stupid, somber, funny, solitary and accompanied moments all woven together to create our life experiences. Change one moment and you may change the entire outcome of a life.

Yes, you are right, alcoholism, drug abuse, marital affairs and such can be the effects of regretful decisions. But since we have not yet mastered time travel, we can only go forward and learn from our mistakes.

Regretting something you can't change is a waste of energy. Realize and admit what you did that you regret, try your best to remedy what you can, accept what you can't and move on and never repeat the offense.

Thank God I was able to hold a control of myself and kept myself off track from the costly effects. There are very few regrets in my life... but I really wish I could have done things better, and had really not given a ******* to this world. I have wasted so many opportunities and time just for the sake of taking care of the So called People's thoughts.

I'm getting angry now..so forget it~!

I've never had to deal with any of those issuse. I never did any of them. That doesn't make life easier though. I regret not trying to have children more at a younger age. Now 20+yrs later , (a lot of heartache and deaths) I only have 2 children and am too old to have more without IVF ..which I refuse to do. I do regret giving my inlaws the time and energy that I did. 14yrs later they still don't buy my kids Christmas presents or even visit to acknowledge their existence. That doesn't make life easier regretting, but I disagree that it's a waste of time . It makes your life/you have a new perspective.

The only regrets I have are for things I didn't do or say. And now it is too late.
