Hi there Bubbly (what a "truly fitting" avatar name for this most exciting time in your life!!!)
First of all: CONGRATS TO YOU AND YOURS!!!!!
I've had one baby, C-section (was in labour at home for over FOUR DAYS!!!!!) mid wife and OB-GYN finially did it-It was long and painful, but worth every second and every contraction. I am sorry that you have not received ONE response to your question!!!!!-Did you have a baby shower thrown for you??? I had one at just about 26 weeks and I too stayed up at nights often uncomfortable, with natural worries, and often would manage to get up and out of bed to re-arrange all the cute little articles of clothes, the little socks, the little jumpers, I must have dusted the new cot over 300 times. I worried about EVERYTHING. My biggest thing was worrying about germs. I was getting paranoid with fear of germs in the house (i sent out all our curtains for dry cleaning, had professional carpet cleaners come in and do all the carpets, I had my fiancee' then tear up the rug in our bedroom and have the floor finished so the carpet would not collect dust that I couldnt see with the naked eye., etc) You say you bought everything already, but yet to arrange., well trust me: Just simply make sure where-ever you are going to be keeping your babe's clothes and all other necessary items (i.e.-baby dresser, or even a few of your drawers drawers, etc.) nice and cleaned, if you are still uncomfortable it takes moments to stick some liner on the inside of drawers. Then fold (or hang up if you want to keep in a closet) and put away in the drawers and breathe a bit EASIER having that out of the way., because no matter how much worry you are putting into the ironing and arranging will only become a thing of the past once you bring your little star home for good! I was worse than you with these things, but trust me my sister, it is 101% normal. You sound like you are holding onto that infamous "nesting" phase. Relax NOW. Put your little tootsies up and enjoy the feeling of your belly, and the movements when your baby is awake and moving about. DONT stress yourself out unnecessarily PLEASE. I know it's hard NOT to worry about every little thing, and then when you kind of get away from the worrying a bit, you find something else to worry about right???? Well, trust me you are going to worry regardless., so please, please take it from someone JUST LIKE YOU: Use THIS time now to relax and use breathing to keep yourself calm as well. I had all the baby clothes and items from my baby shower arranged by week 29, and probably rearranged everyting on a daily basis until I was so overwhelmed with that, and with all those hormones that I once fell in a fat heap on the bed and cried myself to sleep one afternoon. So relax hon, and just think of the wonderful little "you" inside of you, completely dependent on you to live. I know you will have a great delivery and be an absolutely fabulous mother. You are in my prayers. Take care!!!!!

I had most of the babies things organised into the room and drawers by the mid 20 weeks of pregnancy onwards. I kinda went overboard with my second and got way too much stuff for him! I kept 'nesting' and organising all the way through but didn't bother washing stuff till about 2-3weeks before i was due because I didn't want everything getting musty smelling and dusty.
I packed my hospital bag slowly from about 35 weeks so I could be ready but left out all the last minute things like toothbrush and some clothes I was still using.
I hardly slept a wink during the last trimester and suffered from insomnia and also the heartburn/indigestion as well. Once he 'dropped' it did ease quite a bit but I still had a hard time sleeping much. I think its your bodies way of getting you ready for all those sleepless nights!!
Now I am pregant with my third, I am waiting till christmas to announce it to the family ( i will be 12weeks then I thought it would be a nice xmas present!) and from then on in I will slowly start collecting all those baby things again. I like to buy one thing every week or two with the grocery shopping like wipes, shampoos, soaps, nappies etc...so I have a nice little collection when bubs is born. I have to have the cot repaired this time as we broke it taking it apart from the last baby! My grandfather in law made it so he can fix it for me! Once I get into the 20 weeks will start getting clothes and linen's together slowly. Nothing is a rush anymore! I just don't have time to stress about it!
Good luck and remember you still have 2-3 months to go which is plenty of time to worry about washing the bubs things! Please don't bother ironing much! Most stuff really doesn't need it and you will be seriously wasting precious napping time! lol!
Have fun nesting!!

I think you want to ask what things you have to prepare before pregnancy. Great to hear that you have completed your 29 weeks of pregnancy and started worrying about after pregnancy affects. In my culture it is the superstition that we don't arrange things before our baby takes birth, so, we don't even buy clothes for him. But I am sure other people arranges everything before the baby's born, like baby's craddle, milk bottles, clothes, toys etc. I didn't do any of these things before pregnancy because of the superstition.
But I have arranged one thing before the delivery, i arranged a lot of old clothes before delivery. because during delivery you bleed alot and you require a lot of clothes which you can throw anytime. After the delivery the bleeding doesn't stop for atleast 1 day and for me the bleeding was for more than a day as i had my baby after the operation.
Hope you got the answer which you were seeking for :).
Regards.

Sorry I am not a mum yet and I am excited for you! I will star your question maybe that will help. I was the last child of five I doubt my mum was as attentive as you after all those babies.
Maybe it is the time you posted your questions. It is still early in the States. Sorry I am not a mum but you seem to have last minute case of nerves and anticipation..but you got it under control. Now let's see if we can get those mums awake over here..it's about time the babies are already crying and tired mums are preparing bottles. Hopefully they will get a moment to relax and the YA fans will be ready to have a cup of coffee and ease your fears.

I was getting stuff ready gradually for the last few months of my pregnancy. I kind of kicked it up the last week because it made me feel close to the baby to wash and fold all of those tiny clothes and to arrange everything just right. It also gave me comfort because I knew that whatever I was lacking in physical and emotional preparedness I was making up for by making our surroundings ready. I never really felt ready until the baby was born and I was looking at it. Then, I knew! I was still surprised, though, that they let me leave the hospital with him! ; )

It's up to you as to when you do things. You still have a lot of time left before the baby comes.
I washed my things about 2 weeks before the baby was due and I'm a very organised person.

well i'm not pregnant anymore but i took a week of vacation before my due date and did a lot of preparing. there's still things that I didn't know i needed that my mom helped me out with (diaper pail, a breastfeeding pillow, etc) I was well ready for everything and didn't end up having my baby till i was induced 4 days over my due date.
oh and when the baby drops you'll be able to breath a lot better. usually doesn't happen till 34-38 weeks.

I don't know about the other moms, but I didn't have a specific week by which all the baby stuff was to be ready. I washed stuff as I got it or purchased it.
By the way - don't bother ironing baby clothes; it's an exercise in futility.
