You're supposed to glow when you're pregnant? ha! ha! ha! I never looked worse than when I was pregnant with my first. I'm 18 weeks with my second now and so far I look like dog poop again. I describe it as looking like a teenager who just hit puberty and is stuck in a cave -- pale, dark circles under my eyes and covered in pimples. They say a girl steals her mother's beauty, only I had a boy last time, so who knows. :)

If you're feeling really badly about how you look, try to do something to boost your self esteem. I'll go get my hair cut, buy a new shirt, lipstick, get a pedicure, anything to make myself feel a little less icky looking. Obviously, it's not an everyday thing but every once and awhile I'll treat myself.

The good news is that some people do get that glow in the second trimester, which isn't too far away for you. I hope it comes for you! Congratulations on your pregnancy! It'll all be worth it in the end, I promise. :)

The only time I was told ' oh your glowing!' was when I had washed and blow dried my hair and put make-up on! Otherwise I looked like poop the rest of the time too. especially in the first trimester.

Usually once you get to the second trimester you will start to feel heaps better physically and thats when you start to radiate from the inside out and hence the 'glowing' comments! Go outside and get some sun and drink heaps of water, that will help you feel a little better at least.

congrats on your pregnancy. the medical books will tell you you start to glow during your 2nd trimester, from 13-27 weeks. i have had 4 babies and GLOW! I think what it really means is that you may look like you are glowing during this time is because you are not throwing up at a drop of a hat and resemble looking like the living dead. and when you get to the 3rd trimester you just want it over you cant even think about putting your makeup on never mind glowing. but its all worth it in the end .

your in the first trimester which is up until 12 weeks. its horrible, morning sickness bloated belly that just makes you look fat not pregnant! ur so tired cause ur body is creating ur baby at the moment after 12 weeks its just growing and developing. enjoy been able to sleep cause you will experience tiredness you never new existed after having your little one.
the time for 'glowing' is the second trimester but unfortunately it doesnt always happens but dont worry the morning sickness will eventually ease and the tiredness is too. but getting to sleep may get harder with a big belly :)

oh it's just starting for you. you're going through the changes that make you tired all the time (even after sleeping 10 hours..)

people told me I was glowing at the end because I was so glad that I didn't have keep carrying around this watermelon inside of me anymore. it's not something you'll observe. other people will.

Unfortunately not all women look good/glowing in pregnancy. Your hair for example can become very greasy or very glossy, your skin can be oily or very dry. It depends on each woman and how they are affected by hormones.
