Do you think sex is a necessary component of a satisfying, full life? Obviously most people wouldn't want to give it up, but is it necessary, or just desired? If someone elderly admitted to you that they were still a virgin, would it alter your perception of them? If your immediate reaction is to say "you can't have a full life without some sexual experience", do you think this is just because you enjoy sex, or do you really believe it to be valuable above physical pleasure?
I myself think it's a central feature of human experience, and the elemental reason for our existence, and that to miss out on it would be a great personal loss. I'm interested to know what you all think.

My perception of the elderly person wouldn't alter, but I do think that life should inclued at least one sexual relationship.
Do I think I couldn't have a satisfying life without sex? I had a perfectly satisfying life before the age of 20 which is when I first had sex.
As far as it being the elemental reason for our existance, you are technically right considering that we are built to reproduce.

I'm not really sure I agree with you. Sex is not necessary like eating, sleeping, breathing...going without has never caused a death, pretty sure about that. Oh course some men might disagree with that, ha, ha.
We all need love, the emotion, in our lives, I see sex as an added bonus with someone you love. I, personally, do not consider sex merely as a recreation and if I don't love someone I am not interested in being intimate with them just for physical pleasure. But that's just me.
I know people who have never had sex. They lead very full lives, are contributing members of society and are generally happy. In a society that is obsessed with sex, it's nice to be around people who have other things in their life to focus on and talk about. It's refreshing.

Nobody can answer that question unless they are old and have not experienced sex at all. The rest that have had sex can say "yes" or "no" but they really do not know. God did put us here on earth to multiply and that means of course to have sex. But it does not answer your question if one can have a satisfied life without it.

I wish I could honesty say "Yes". I wish I would not have a single desire to touch or take a look at girl or woman. Then the sin of lust wouldn't apply to me. Then, I wouldn't cry lonely nights thinking that in the entire world there is no single girl who would agree to spend a single night with me because I am not good enough for any of them. My life would be much less stressful and I would be less bitter. But the answer is "No".

Well, unfortunately, it isn't always an option. Someone has to want to do it with you.
There are times in your life when there is not room for it and you have to just try and forget about it.

i think everyone would want to experience sex. regardless of their ages or sexes. i thk god created us in such a way that would require us to have it. so for those who didnt want to experience sex, i thk they are fooling themselves.. but i also dont think that sex should be d core of a satisfying life. its just that life would be more satisfying if u can experience all the pleasures in the world.

Sex expresses feelings, relieves stress, helps your health, gives you exercise.
It should be done between consenting adults.
