not always, most just share observations and predict outcomes. Aristotle noted that humans are political (social) animals. Machiavelli rejected this view as unrealistic. Philosophy, to me, is opinion.

They carry the message of excellence and nobility. I think the job of philosophers is to see unbiased truth, so it's not always what we want to hear, but the deep respect they have for truth is in itself very positive.
