a dvd of a really cool movie.she will have plenty of time to watch it as she will be laying around for at least a couple days.

Get her a box of jello quick before she's scarred from ever wanting to eat it again. Why you ask? Have you had hospital Jello? Yea so hurry up she will so thank you later on in life when she isn't cringing from the site of Jello shots.
Honestly though I think the best gift you can give a friend is time and an ear. Better bring some ice cream too.

More affection and love, this is primary one.
Flowers or decorated garlands this is secondary for wishing her to get well soon or to recover soon.
Fruits this is mandatory, informing & helping to get healthier soon.

She's your friend, you should know her likes and dislikes. If you don't know the things she likes, get her a mall gift card and a get well greetings card.
