My stomach has been really odd over the last few days. I suffer from IBS, so I know the difference between an IBS attack and a stomach virus, but this seems to be neither. My lower abdomen has been bloated, and is a bit tender to touch. There is also discomfort... like it wants to hurt like a stomach virus but can't. I've been under a lot of stress the last few months, and recently with work as well. I've had to be working in about 37 degree C heat for 6 hour periods. I've also not been getting mucg sleep, and that stresses me more because I worry I'll be hurting at work from my stomach. I only really had cramps bad about 3-4 days ago.. but I figured they were just IBS cause they felt like it. I do also have my period lightly atm, but this isn't normal for me. My roomie had a possible stomach virus a week ago; could I just have it sitting in my bowels uncomfortably? I've had no nausea, vomitting or diarrhaea. It doesn't seem a big enough deal to go see a doctor over.

The discomfort also seems to ebb when I sit in certain ways.. I seem to notice it more when I'm standing. I've also kept my fluids up, and have been eating when I am hungry.. nothing spicey. (I have a tendency for stomach virus's so I know the drill). Am I just stressing too much?

It sounds like you're stressed out & noticing every little thing going on in your body...which happens when you get stressed out...are you doing anything new or different, have you been on any medication lately??? I would try some yoga, walking, dancing, listening to music...something you enjoy doing & brings you some relief....
not sleeping will add more strive in your life...
I wouldn't worry about the not sleeping, that will take care of itself...try some melatonin, a warm glass of milk or eat some turkey...
if, it con't I would definitely seek medical help....
