In the past, I have found that when I am too thankful, I start to lose those things that I am thankful for. It is almost like somebody out there doesn't want me to be too happy. Now I am paranoid about the whole idea of giving thanks. This time of year makes me nervous.

Anyone else feel that way, or is it just me?

I don't think I'm crazy or self-centered.
It is more like a superstition.

I'm always thankful for what I have. I have had hardly anything so what I have now is always a blessing!

Maybe the things you are caring about should be reprioritized

Yes, the creator of the universe is focused completely on you. Any time you feel good, his job is to make you miserable. Nevermind the rest of the planet. It's all about you.
