DJ Premier and The RZA. A couple of years ago I would have said Timbaland, but I think he's gone too much down the pop route recently.
Dr Dre made his living out of taking the credit for other people's work.

I'd say Dr. Dre. But now, it's Swizz Beats. Timbaland isn't a hip-hop producer nowadays, he's more of a pop-music producer. He's produced for JT and Nelly Furtado, that's not hip-hop.

With out a dought its dre he has single handedly turned many rappers into great rappers look at how many artist he has produced at some point in time the public was considering them to be one of the greatest starting with snoop to pac, eminem,50 ,the game .Who knows who he has coming next.This is not even the begining cant forget about NWA enough said.

either Dr. Dre or DJ Premier. Dr. Dre has been doin for a long time and has mentored Eminem in the producing department and makes the most money of any producer, and Premier has done it for most of all the greats so idk, honarble mention: RZA
