You know what they say:
"Do unto others as you would have others do unto you"

In other words, When you come in to work & you are just starting your day, it would start your day bad if you had to clean up after the person before you, before you even started work. Most times, it will start you in a negative atmosphere & it makes getting started & being productive more difficult, because you have to clean, rearrange & set up first.

But, coming into a nice work station & everything is where it should be, you don't have to look for anything because everything was done right & prepped & ready for you to go is a possitive, fresh way to start.

Let me give you another scenario... gross... but it makes the point"

You need to go to the bathroom. The building you are in only has one bathrooom, with one stall... you open the door to the stall & are greeted with one or more " floaters", in a sea of yellow. You don't really want to use that toilet. You get irritated that the inconsiderate person before you didn't "clean up his/her own mess" leaving it for you. The next nearest batroom is a mile down the road & you really have to go. You are forced to expel the other persons floaters & waste. You sit & start to do your business... after you have already "let loose" you find as you reach for the paper that whoever was there last, or what ever janitor was scheduled last, did not bother to restock the toilet paper...

Okay...how would you feel at that point? Got it? Hope this gives you a new perspective!?... & maybe a giggle.

1. Its common courtesy!
2. It enables the next user of the equipment to do their job quickly and efficiently.

I hope your work must be time bond, if it is so, then, the institution might have taken or appointed some other worker or user after your time expires for the betterment, in different ways, of the institution.
