if not then how there isa face and body like him in the movies.AND WHY HE GAVE A PART OF HIS SOUL TO HARRY POTTER when he was a baby ?

When he tried to kill Harry as a baby, Voldemort accidently made him into a horcrux. When she died Harry's mother gave him a form of protection for 17 years. The small piece of soul left to Voldemort is what created so much drama until the Goblet of Fire Book. Voldemort was trying to remake his body using things like the soreceror's stone and unicorn blood. But don't forget that he used part of Harry's body (his blood) to make a body for himself, so you have to look at several possibilities.

Voldemort had intended to break his soul into seven pieces, one in his body and six pieces in six horcruxes. However, he unknowingly made eight. Breaking your soul to make a horcrux makes said soul a fragile, unstable thing that is more likely to break again. Breaking it five times like Voldemort had already done before trying to kill Harry that first time makes the soul so fragile that anything could cause a pice to break of the soul if anything happens.

When the killing curse rebounded on Voldemort that night, a piece of his soul broke off and sought the only living thing with a physical body. Harry. The rest fled the place where it had failed and lost physical form. Voldemort never knew when he turned Nagini into a horcrux he already had six horcruxes.

Actually, when he casts avada kedavra on Harry, the spell rebounces as his mother's love acts as a sheild for harry. Voldy has already split his soul several times and made it unstable so at that time, a part of his soul will be droped onto Harry. He doesn't give it.

voldy[as u fondly cal him;)...had made six horcruxes and he was one horcrux short wen he entered godric's hallow to kill harry[acc to dumbledore]so the night wen he used the avada kedavra on harry..coz of the shield cast by lily potter due to her sacrifice..the curse rebounced..so his body was blown into pieces and it entered the only living body in the house..harry potter..so harry was a accidental horcrux..and voldy never knew about it..!!!so dats the reason y harry could speak parseltongue[snake language] lik voldy and could penetrate into his mind!!!and yeah voldemort had a soul left in his body...the one that was so weak and dependant that it could not resist the full untampered soul of harry!!!
