What????
Awarding no competitive bid contracts to Halliburton is not good business nor good government.
You also are using the term "oxymoron" incorrectly <<>>
Off to school with you, junior.

Isn't it ironic that we never hear anything about the illegal campaign contributions Halliburton made to Lyndon Johnson when he was running for the Senate in Texas? Isn't it ironic that we never hear a word about how Bill Clinton created the LOGCAP program so that contractors like Halliburton could do what they do. Then Clinton gave Halliburton a contract for LOGCAP II during the Balkans conflict which Halliburton was outbid on.
Halliburton gets these contracts because they are the best at what they do, hands down. Nobody else even comes close. The fact that Dick Cheney was the CEO of Halliburton has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Halliburton is operating in Iraq.
Also understand that Halliburton is not the major contractor in Iraq right now. That would be Kellogg, Brown and Root Services. They are the ones that currently hold the LOGCAP III contract.

A good businessman makes his money in the private sector by running a company well.
Bush is not a CEO of a private company, he is the chief executive of the government. Part of that job is to spend tax payer dollars wisely and to ensure that government contracts are awarded competitively to the companies which perform the best and which charge the lowest prices. Instead, Bush has opened the Treasury to war profiteers who charge the most and provide the least. He has failed in his duties to the public, and that is bad, not good.

People seem to forget,
It was the Clinton no bid contrat to Halliburton, that made Cheney rich in the first place.
I would bet, there is no one on this board, who could list the government contracts Hallburton currently has.
