We can determine what is the right thing to do using the Golden Rule. Why is the GR the right tool to use? Because it encourages us to use sympathy and empathy which draws people together rather than separating them. And why is that good? It is good because we are all children of God and therefore brothers and sisters.

What answers would others give? I'd best let them speak for themselves.

morality is something from out. it comes to you from outside. you have to make yourself suitable to this outside value. you may or may not feel convenient. but you have to conform your conduct according to these moral codes.

it is not something springing from your inner fountains. it is not something originating from you. it is imposed upon you.

the better proposition is to make you so lucid and transparent that no impurity remains inside you.

there is a difference. when you borrow outer morality for your internal transformation it may cause an internal dissonance and you will become restless. but if you inculcate your interior at a higher spiritual level then you by nature, become so frictionless that others would like you. they will follow you.
