celebrities who donate to charity, or become spokespersons for organisations, real or not?

who and why do you think does it for image and popularity, and who do you think does it because they are real about it. i'll name 1 in each instance.
for image and popularity, i'll go paris hilton, she promises so much, but rarely follows through.
for real, i'll go with andre agissi, his work with young and often troubled youth, is out standing. he doesn't seek acknowlogment , through it, and he really cares. so what do you think?

One that I can think of is Paul Newman who is for real. He started a company, (Newman's Own) and all money after taxes goes to his charity, called Hole In The Wall Gang, which is for disadvantaged kids. I agree with you that most just do it for publicity.

I think the ones who do it for real are the ones we dont hear about. They are the ones who dont do it for the fame or pat on the back. They just do it because they have the money and want to give something back.

if i donated or something like that i would not want the public to know. i think some are in good faith but some are for publicity. It's a charity you are not supposed to gain from it. except knowing that you did something good

It's for real, but they have already received their reward by letting the world know that they are such humanitarians. If they wanted the reward in the next life, they would have donated in secrecy.

I think it's just for publicity. People who do Real charity don't broadcast it.
