I looked through petfiner, and there is this rabbit, he is so sad, and it said that the family who had him, relocated, and dropped him off at an animal shelter, his house, and all his toys! And he sits there, as a child who parents abandoned in some orphanage, and looks so sad, as if he understands that they dumped him. And all his toys near him!
Why do they get them at all at first?

I had a cat once. She was always a little on the mean side. She used to bite me on the arms all the time. When I found out I was pregnant, we tried bringing my nephew over to see how she reacted to him...well it didn't go well...she growled and hissed at him and we had to put her in the bedroom whenever anyone came over after that. Sometimes people move to a new home where they are not allowed to have animals and they have no choice. I had to put my cat to sleep because she was unadoptable. It was the worst thing I ever had to do. Don't think that all people do it on purpose or just to be hateful. Most people have reasons for giving an animal to a shelter.

As sad as it is, sometimes situations change and there is no other choice. Not everyone does it just to dump them. Sometimes it's a painful decision that has to be made. Not everyone who takes animals to shelters view the animals as disposable. Granted there are those who just get tired of the animal and do so but don't assume that all do.

That's sad, but it's better than dropping the bunny off in the forest to "rejoin nature." That would be horrible! So many people dump their pets by the roadside, and hope they can survive or get themselves adopted, and it's just cruel.
The shelter is sad, but it's better than some of the alternatives, like starvation, freezing to death, getting hit by a car . . . .
You're right, though. People should think before they get a pet.

Good question. It's better to take their unwanted pets to the animal shelter than to leave them to suffer or die of starvation or diseases. Here are some incidences that happen: Leave chained dogs and eventually the collar eats through the neck, let dogs have the run of the yard and the dogs become matted with mange, Allow cats to reproduce and cats are left running wild in the house. Leave animals that are maimed, animals left outside in the snow, and etc. It makes me sad!

I don't know, that just makes my heart drop to the floor, because I myself have respect and love for all animals. I guess it is an endless cycle that people do and it consists of people doing whatever to make themselves happy at that moment. Not considering someone else's feelings. Poor rabbit!!:( And a lot of people get an animal before researching what care the animal needs, and when they find out, they don't want that kind of commitment, they get rid of them.

I don't know I wish I could tell you. When I win the lottery I'm gonna open an animal sanctuary then go to all the animal shelters and take all the animals then have homeless kids and adults help me take care of them.

That is so sad, I could never do anything like that. If I had to relocate the pets would come or I wouldn't go, no question about it.
