I have PCOS and I am taking Metformin as well. They say that it takes 3 months to fully get into your system and start working. If after that it's not helping, I would talk to your doctor about a possible higher dosage or trying something else. With Metformin, if you eat properly and exercise, it will help take the weight off. Give it some time to work, it's hard, but that's what needs to happen!

I think you'll have to ask your dr to upper your dose, this is my 3 month on metformin and for the forst to months I had a reguler 29 day cycle, but this month I haven't got a period as yet, I to have pcos and I'm ttc, I test 17dpo with a $1 test and it came back (-), I'll be testing again this week if af doesn't shows

Metforim is a diabetic drug it is used to reduce weight for people with PCOS I was on it for 6 months never got any slimmer had to have surgery in the end.
oh I have had PCOS for 12 years its hard but you will work it out.
