The commonest cause of urinary tract infection in women is the transfer of bacteria from gut (anal area) to the genital tract (E.Coli). Such transfer more likely if you wipe from back to front. Wiping front to back minimises the risk.

If you wipe back to front, you can get an infection in front, because you don't want back waste depositing themselves in your front. lol

(in other words, you don't want to wipe poo on/in your vagina, you will get infection ewwwwwwww)
