america is the most moral country and its laws reflect that. i do not agree with any of the above mentioned activities. but if we are so moral why do we start wars for wrong reasons, or buy from wal-mart when child labor is used in china. are we really the worlds moral police or is it more about the money?

my point in asking the question was to expose the cultural differences of opinion. i love my pet. people who dog fight in the caribbean don't think he's sick or should go to jail for life. you are entitled to your opinion. they eat dog in china and view them as expendable. how many people kill snakes the minute they see them. is it what we learn in the bible, snakes equate with the devil. some people say the chicken industry is abusive, but we go to barbeques and eat . vick gets what he deserves in my opinion, but it does appear cultural to me.

you are right it is illegal and he has to pay the price. our cultural beliefs and laws usually coincide. i also agree that abortion should be illegal, go to jail for a dog, but you can kill a baby? what?

This is not legal so he broke the law. There is nothing more to read into it . The laws are put into place by our elected members of congress by way of a vote if it passes its a law. If vick was bullfighting in mexico he would be ok.

Fighting domesticated animal and then slitting there throat at the end has nothing to do with sport or trophy's.

That's completely cruel.

To bad they didn't steal you dog, and leave it on your porch hanging from the roof.

Vick got prosecuted because it's illegal in out country. and if bulls were kept as pets, we wouldn't condone bullfighting either (not that we do) but if we did.

If those countries have decided to allow these things that is their choice. The United States decided not to. Vick broke the law of this country and is being prosecuted. Culture bias is not a factor. America has a diverse mixture of cultures.

Just because it's legal in other countries does not make it right. This guy, electrocuted good dogs in order to make them mean! That's in-humane! He deserves to spend the rest of his life in jail! He is a sick bastard!
