Merits:- the good impact is that
1. there is an employment production due these wedding activities.
2.there are facilities for the wedding parties
3.the chances of get together
Demerits.:- the bad impact is that
1. in the hotels and marriege halls, there is allot of wastage of the food stuff which can be managed to feed millions of hungry people , in other words
WE ARE GIVE FOOD TO THE FED UP WHILE
KEEP THE HUNGRY IGNORED
2.we make a simple function complicated and un necessarily costy.
3. this money and food can be utilized to feed and cloth millions of people
IF YOU ARE MARRYING THEN IT MEANS YOU ARE HAPPY AND OBVIOUSLY YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE THIS MOMENT WITH YOUR FRIEDS AND OTHER RELATIVES ........... BUT.........................
IS IT NOT THE BEST HAPPINESS THAT SOME ONE HUNGRY IS EATING ON THE DAY OF YOUR MARRIEGE AND SOME ON BROKEN CLOTHED WOULD WEAR NEW CLOTHES ON THE DAY OF YOUR MARRIAGE.
THIS IS THE REAL HAPPINESS AND THOSE WILL NEVER
FORGET YOU AND YOU WILL FEEL...........

All good and services including what is spent on wedding count toward towards GDP. How much they contribute to the growth depends on whether more people are getting married, and whether people who do, are spending more on the weddings.
The number of marriages per 1000 people has fallen from 9.8 to 7.4 from 1990 to 2004 so the growth in GDP due to wedding is probably less than the population growth, even if they have gotten more expensive.
