Why don't you stick to weddings since that is all you know? Now, I'm a Veteran, not a school teacher, but I'll tell you that the only time Bush was mentioned in that article was to say that he wanted the VA system fixed. VA has ALWAYS been like that. You are a piece of paper to them. Do you think that the people that decide how much money you make actually ever see you? Hell no. Hate breeds Hate. You're ignorant. Go back to your weddings.

What, you think this is a new thing?

Look. I used to live just down the street from a VA hospital. I spoke to a lot of men and women who had served their countries, who were then being treated at the VA. The VA has ALWAYS been known for not exactly being the best hospital out there. There's a joke that if you're dying, and you go to the VA, you could probably die in the waiting room, and it would be weeks before anyone noticed.

My dad was a veteran. My sister's first husband is a veteran. I have uncles and cousins who are veterans. And they've all said THE SAME THING, for my whole life. I'm sorry, President Bush has NOT been president my whole life. I'm old enough to remember back to Reagan's first term. That should tell you. My parents are/were old enough to remember FDR. That should ALSO tell you.

It's just now that it's FINALLY coming out. Well, this has been going on for a long time, so I say it's about time people were made aware of it!

In case I wasn't clear enough, President Bush has NOTHING to do with it. The money goes from our taxes to the DOD. The DOD then dispenses with the money as they see fit. Blame the DOD, not the president.

Yes, this is another sad story. But do you really think that we should have just let the Jihads bomb the U.S. into obliteration without defending ourselves? This problem with the V.A. isn't directly due to anything President Bush did. This has been an ongoing problem for years in the V.A. hospitals. We've been in so many wars when other Presidents were in office and none of them have had to endure President Bush's criticism. It is a sad situation when you've got crazy, flippin' Jihads that want to to tell Americans that we aren't living our lives right and according to THEIR beliefs. Politics S U C K and I wish people wouldn't bring this kind of stuff up unless you know that YOU can do a better job. I hate discussing Politics and Religion because everyone is entitled to their own opinion, just as I believe in an eye for an eye, and the Death Penalty. I think it's too bad people thought that the electric chair was an inhumane way to die. What about all of the people that have been tortured by killers? Don't the convicted killers deserve to suffer like their victims did? I think so. But that's my opinion and everyone has their own. I agree with The Cricket_VT! And I've been around since before the JFK era. My family has performed lots of Military Service and V.A. Hospitals just provide bad care, that's all there is to it. I know a disabled soldier from a war that we were in years ago that receives horrible V.A. service and a teeny-tiny little pension to live on and he is only in his 40's. So try sending a petition to the DOD! (Dept. of Defense). See if you get any response from them! NO! Oh, H e l l, NO!! This was a bad subject to bring up on the Yahoo Answer Boards. I don't care if it is Politics and Government because no one is going to go agree 100% on anything!! So, why bring it up? If Weddings Are All You Know, then let's talk about something a little bit happier than Politics!

Apples and oranges. infantrymen are ruled by potential of a different algorithm, rights, and regulations. A commanding place of work maximum easily can order subordinates to proceed to be silent. Doing in any different case is insubordination of a right away order, and that is punishable. Edit: Why? the army has consistently reported its workers to no longer talk to the clicking without authorization. it is not something new, nor with regards to this actual situation.

Our government does this to our veterans because they are broke. Were floating loans to cover our loans to pay for this war. theres no money left to care for veterans that sacrificed their limbs, their health, their lives for their country.

Of course there is enough money for congressional salaries, limousines with hookers, payoffs to congressional pages, and that sort of thing but certain operational cost take precedence over a few thousand wounded vets.

Did you not notice this line in the article;

President Bush and a commission appointed to review the care of veterans returning from war announced the need for a complete overhaul of the disability ratings system, which dates back to World War II. The VA is now considering action on the commission's recommendations.

The VA system was messed up way before Bush. Bush wants it fixed. People need to stop jumping on the hate Bush bandwagon. He is not the cause of all the worlds ails.

Contrary to poular liberal opinion, Bush does not run the VA. Bush did appoint the commission that advised that it needed to be fixed, after being cut to the core by Clinton.....

According to the article a suicide bomber did that. Unless the suiside bomber was Bush then I'm pretty sure he didn't do it.
