According to the doctor I am only 29 weeks pregnant, which means that I conceived in the beginning/middle of May. I took a prenancy test in April though and it showed that I was pregnant, I had no sex between the time I took the test and the time I had the ultra sound, but the ultra sound said that I was only 8 weeks pregnant at the time... Could the ultra sound have been wrong??? The reason I'm questioning this is because I've been having labour "symptoms" and the doctor is worried because I'm only 29 weeks according to all 3 of my u/s... but the pregnancy test came up + in april... i'm way confused....

Positive in April? Wouldn't that put your due date in December? When the ultra sound tech gives you an age, they base the age on how big the baby measures. Ages ago, when I was pregnant, the nurse put me at 9 weeks with a pap. The ultra tech put me at 8 weeks 3 days. However, my daughter was small. At 37 weeks, she was measuring 34 weeks. And I measured that at about 3 different visits that were at the point when I was tdoing the every two week visits. When I gave birth it was at my 39 week mark to the day, but I heard the nurses saying she was measuring 37 weeks. They didn't tell ME that, I just overheard them talking. She was 5lbs 15oz. Her head was only 11 3/4 around. She was 19 inches long, which is in the normal length for a baby.
I think the tech is wrong. If you didn't have sex from the time you tested positive in April to the time you had your first sonogram, then there is no way you could've gotten pregnant in May, it was either March or early April, depending on when you tested and LMP, when you conceived.

Also my due date changed all the time. However it always stayed int he month of May. First they told me May 13th, then May 15th. Then May 9th which was Mother's Day back in 2004. My daughter was born May 2nd.Well, 9 minutes after it turned midnight. She should've been a May 1st baby. lol But we had to wait for the doc to get there.

Personally, I feel we know our bodies better than the doctors do. The doctor and the ultrasound were wrong on all of my pregnancies. My oldest daughter was due at the end of August, I had my daughter Mid July and she was full term almost 8 lbs, with my son I was told I was due at the end of June and I told the doctor I would have him at the end of May, I was also told he was going to have some type of dwarfism as he was soooo tiny(this was a month before I had him), he was born at the end of May, weighing 9 lbs. He is now 8 and since he was 1 was mistaken for an older child.

I feel like we know our bodies better than the doctors and only you really know when you had sex.

It potential your wellbeing practitioner is on the brink of recommend an induction. My wellbeing practitioner advised me that with my son, and my daughter. I had a poor induction with my son, so i desperate against doing it with my daughter. My wellbeing practitioner tried to tell me that my daughter would be better than my son replaced into(he replaced into 9 lbs. and 22 a million/2 inches long) and that i replaced into an fool if i did not bring about, and so forth. I wound up turning in my daughter clearly a week after the proposed induction date- She replaced into 6 lbs. 8 oz.. and 18 inches long. docs rather have not got any way of understanding how enormous your infant would be. merely brush it off, and don't enable your wellbeing practitioner push you into inducing, except he can produce stable scientific information exhibiting that it rather is a necessity. Laboring clearly is the main suitable element you're able to do on your physique.

thats right im 29 weeks and concieved in may, so you should be due in december or early jan just tell the midwife that you took a test in april and that you think you dating scan is wrong, she might measure your stomach to see how far on you are in cm which might date you later, but this method isnt that accurate because they say its ok 2cms each way. good luck

29 weeks and 8 weeks is very big different. If 29 weeks, it's means about 7.5 months, your stomach should be very big and even the sex of baby can be determinated!! You even can feel the baby moving in your stomach. All this will not happen in only pregnant 8 weeks. Double check.

OK, since you're having labor "symptoms" you should get in touch with your doctor. Did you tell him/her the results of your preg test?
