It sounds to me that you are in more ways than one. You said you did'nt want disability right? Get a hold of the Social Security Administration 1(800)772-1213. They might have you apply for SSI. Also your state should have a vocational rehab agency which can help train you and find you accomodating employment. They can also get you a tutor to help with your GED.

Dyscalcula is considered a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act--I know because I have it too.
An appropriate accomodation (non-professionally) for this is using a calculator to keep track of numbers while solving math problems. I still am responsible for typing in the numbers, but it is easier to keep track of things.
I'm not sure what accomodations for the the thyroid disease would occur.
I would see if there is a State rehabilitation agency where you are--and talk with them. Provide them with any existing doccumentation of the disabilities you are talking about and see if they want you to undergo additional testing. They would be able to tell you what accomodations specifically you could get for everything.

If you have been diagnosed with schizophrenia by a psychologist or psychiatrist , then yes you are indeed disabled.
I am assuming you are in the US, since you didn't state where you are , but I would suspect that you might be able to apply for ssdi.
You also might have your psychologist or psychiatrist submit a note about the meds you are on, to the teachers where you are getting your ged so that they can be appraised of the symptoms you're experiencing and can plan for a better individualized education plan for you.

If you were diagnosed with Hashimoto or Schizophrenia before you were 22 - then apply for SSI you almost certainly would get it. If not, then go to your state rehab agency and ask them to help train you for a job you can do with the skills you have that is healthy for you.

Deafness or listening to loss is seen a disability, yet then I also have a disability of no longer being waiting to communicate in sign language (in spite of the reality that i understand somewhat). and of direction, human beings can stay finished lives regardless of listening to loss. inspect Marlee Matlin.

first, you should talk to the Americans with Disabilities group....your job must make adequate accomodations for you if you are found to be disabled....they will help with that....
Also, find out if you are eligible for SSIDI through the Social Security Administration.....you could be eligible to receive benefits that will allow you to work fewer hours, have medicaid for free, and also allow you to work for a limited period of time.....this takes a long time so be patient.
