I loved nirvania; And anything curt cobain wrote was deep ; so i would say it means he doesn;t like to show emotion; as he say;s If i had ti lose a mile; if i had to touch feeling's i would lose my soul.. cool dude.

Actually... Its a song by The Meat Puppets, so Kurt didn't write it.
I do love the song & the way Kurt sings it, he gives it this extra deep emotion and gives his own original twist to it.
I love Nirvana, & i love Kurt!
Anything he touched became perfection just like this song <3

I think he is saying that if he tries to let every fear he has about moving forward affect him that he would lose some of himself---what makes him talented and inspired. If he just blazes forward and is more carefree he doesnt have to feel vulnerable he just has to produce the product of his music.
He cant see where he will end up or how much he will actually accomplish but he just chooses to not consider it and accept infinite possibilities as his personal reality.

This illustrates why I sometimes say you should set some of your (very few) unsuccessful poems to music. Music hides what is actually being said. I find the words confusing, shallow, and the rhymes are uninventive. The music is okay, though.
