Well when ever i am running a large program or it is very hot whether my computer just turns itself off. Me and my friend think my fan just needs to be replaced because we think it isn't cooling down my computer but i checked the back of it and my fan is spinning. I don't really want a computer technician to check it out because they are way too expensive.. so if anyone can help me that would be great.

One common reason for a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) or ramdom reboots is CPU overheating due to a build-up of dirt, dust, pet hair, cig smoke, reefer residue, etc. that is clogging the cooling fan(s) and heat sink.

Open up the tower and make sure there is not a lot of dust accumulation on the components. The fan may not be turning at full speed and there should be another area open for a secondary fan. With computers the more fan the better.
Of course unplug it first!!

it's likely the fan, it might be spining but itz spinning to slow to cool the computer down, get it replaced and keep the case of the computer off it if u can so it doesn't over heat too much until u get it fixed

There is also a fan on the CPU (the processor) that must work effectively. The fins on the heatsink under the fan can also get clogged with dust.

Make sure that the CPU fan is working and the heatsink is free of embedded dust.

Remove the case and use canned air to blow off any dust inside the case. Dust can slow down your fan and cause it to over heat. The heat sink be defective.

yah i agree with them!. but u can add an auxiliary fan to release the heat from your casing... its not expensive and it will help alot to reduce the heat of your case.... and if u want u can disable the temperature control in your bios setup... its up to you.....
