Person B says: Why do you ask?

Person A says: Seems like it...

in this case, i want it to mean,,,it doesnt seem like you like dogs and if you say seems like it, does it mean the same? or you should say Doesnt seem like it?

Theoretically you are asking "Do you not like dogs?", (don't being a contraction for "do not"), so when the answer is "Why do you ask" then you might say "It seems like you don't"

A better way to phrase both statements of Person A: "I get the impression you don't like dogs."

Hope that helps.

The tricky part is starting a question with "don't." The answer is going to be sort of unclear no matter what because it's a negative question.

If A speculates that B isn't a fan of canines, his last line would be, "Doesn't seem like it ("it" meaning "you like dogs")."

The way the question is phrased is "Do not you like dogs?" This is not the same as "Do you not like dogs?" It could mean that, or it could be taken as, "You like dogs, don't you?" The ambiguity means that the answer will be ambiguous. (Trick that pollsters use to manipulate data.)

Seems like it would probably be the right answer but maybe you should say seems like you don't? just an idea.

Doesn't seem like it. Because they're asking why are you asking why don't I like dogs.

So, they reply, "Because you don't seem like you do."

'Doesn't seem like it' would be the same as saying 'seems like you don't'. Either would be correct.

I thinks it's better by saying " Seems so..."
