I know he filed for free agency immediately after the entire season was finished, but that is the very last I've heard about or of him. Did he enter the Witness Protection Program or something?

Don't know and don't care as long as he stays as far away from Boston as possible.

Most of the time new players in Boston are pressure extremely and its really hard for first-years. Like Eric Gagne, Daisuke had an off year, hell he was a Japenese Cy Young star in Japan, and he had a ERA over 4. Thats odd, yet I know he'll be a 15+ game winner, and throw an ERA under 4 next year. Eric Gagne is the same...I think he'll grap a 5-2 record, with a 2.12 ERA.

He's got a great changeup and 2SFB and he can throw low 90's. Thats pretty good for a Closer/Set-up man and I believe he'll have a bounce back year.

Eric Gag-me. That's a pretty good one. I'm pretty sure he's entertaining offers right now, but teams are understandably cautious of this free agent class, and since Gagne has an awfully impressive resume, he's going to command a lot of money. We'll see how this goes, but I'd expect him to be closing somewhere next season.

He's probably waiting out till a good offer comes along. Someone will pick him up, but probably not for the price that he's asking. Someone like Gag-me won't sign till close to Spring Training.

There's been some interest from both the Rangers and Mets, but I don't even know if they've talked to him. Some teams might be scared off a little by the fact that his agent - everyone's favorite, Scott Boras - has said that he'd like to again be a closer.

Doubt he will be offered a closers role with any team. He'll end up as an eighth inning set up man and will probably end up on the dl two or three times as usual.

I was wondering the same thing. Hopefully he'll end up with some team OTHER than the Red Sox. He sucks.

He hasnt signed with anybody yet. I believe that latest rumors for him have Texas and Houston (since they traded Brad Lidge) being the most interested in him.

Given his performance with the Red Sox, he can't be worth much - chopped liver?

Only the Rangers and Astros want him. Oh well.
