every one tells me that I should vote but I think all the people that I have seen in the past 20+ years do not have what I look for in a leader. this is nationally and locally. so If I don't vote peoples say I don't care about the country but If I do I betray my morals

The great thing about this country is that you do not have to vote if you do not wish to. Do, however, make sure you are well-informed on what all the candidates stand for so you can know for sure that none appeal to you. Second, make sure you are well-informed on the current local issues which may be on the ballot, so you can at least vote on those.
Don't worry about people who say you have no right to complain or that you don't care about this country if you don't vote. Using your vote is your choice, not theirs, to make.

No, then you have no right to gripe and complain. You should vote. I don't know how old you are. But if you have like a house, car, nice things and want this world not to become a Socialist Country. Then for god sakes register to vote. You are betraying your morals by not voting. Yes, most choices do suck. I am a lost Dem. but I want a Rep. this time. I don't think there will ever be a candidate that will be to your standards or mine. Come on get out there and Vote.

VOTE TO KEEP AMERICA SAFE

2007-11-18 20:31:04 · answer #3 · answered by Anonymous · 2 4

because of the fact the Democrat national Committee stripped Michigan and Florida of their delegates (and consequently does not be allowed to vote in the national convention), the sole reason to allow those delegates to vote on the national convention would be in the event that they're required to elect Hillary. if so, I recommend a powerful backlash in direction of her in November. notice - You "can not" vote for somebody if their call isn't on the poll, except there's an area for a write-in candidate.

The one you think sucks the least.

Voting is a right that Americans take for granted too much. So what if the field looks weak, pick the one that you think is the best of the bunch. Eventually, if America starts to act like they care about their elected officials more good ones will be inclined to come forward and run.

It took America decades to get into the situation we are in with corrupt politicians running the country and it will take more than one or two elections to set it right again. But the citizens of this country have got to make it known that this government is for the people, by the people and that means voting.

well then what are your morals, if out of the hundreds of people in local county state and federal government don't fill the bill, maybe you either got to turn to yourself to lead , or start looking past the republicans and Democrats

don't listen to these fools about the virtue of voting for the lesser of two evils , what a load of horseshit that is. either they are good and capable or they are not.

vote Ron Paul and 3rd party where you can

because all we have now is 2 failed parties with one failed agenda

and that agenda is stay in power no matter the cost to country or its citizens

I totally understand how you feel. I don't like any candidate and haven't for the last two elections.
They are all stink but just hold your nose and vote for the one that stinks the least. Someone will be elected whether you vote or not. You might as well exercise your right as a citizen to vote for the one who you think will do the least harm.

If you do not think any of the candidates as being good leaders, "Don't vote for them". You don't want to vote just to please people. Vote for your own will.

Hillary Clinton has the intelligence and experience as a lawyer, Senator and former First Lady in order to be a good President.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know who will likely win.

Morals are also the big thing I look for in a candidate. I have no idea is your moral views are anything like mine, but I find that I agree with all of Mike Huckabee's views.

Plus, he wants to drastically simplify taxes. Instead of income tax, we would pay a sales tax. Corporations wouldn't be charged taxes, which would make products cheaper. No more IRS!
