First off, STOP!!!

Getting a DC5 (RSX Type-S) as your first car will land you in the hospital, jail or cemetary with that attitude, because you'll be going faster than your skill and experience allows.

Ever seen a R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R lose to a Corolla? A talented driver can beat a car with over three times the power.

Yes, it would make the best new car. It is front wheel drive and reliable. The power issue depends on the driver. Most kids can get hurt in less powered car. The fun factor is present, but the safety and reliabilty out-weigh the rest.

Best of all, it teaches new drivers about car control.

if your parents can afford to buy it for you and you want it, sure it is a nice car, go for it

personally, i think you should ask your parents for an IS300 with manual transmission and limited slip differential. It should be about the same price as a 2005 RSX type S, however I think the IS300 is better because it is rwd (more fun), it will impress your friends more (because its a lexus) and it will be very reliable (becaue its a lexus)

dont be stupid! if this is ur first car even though its my fav i would nto reccomend it. There a little over priced. If u do buy one dont make it look ricer make it a nice tuner! your friend? pretty stupid I got an Acura RSX Type-S A-spec and if i degraded it too stock i could own his little 5-speed autmatic RSX! Rethink fast again kid!

I think it will be a little too much temptation for a new driver-I may want to race you one day!(lol)! I drive a 90 integra with some mods-it will smoke that car-start with an older model and build it up as you get time and experience! you will also be more satisfied with yourself knowing that you built your own street killer!

I would assume it's good for someone just getting their license due to the fact that it is Front Wheel Drive. In contrast, a Rear Wheel Drive vehicle may be harder for beginners to control.

Bad idea!! Most new drivers get in accidents anyway, regardless of what they drive. Your friend (or you) in a hyped up car will certainly wreck. 1) He/you will end up in the hospital. 2)He/you will have wrecked a damn nice car.
