I will just say some reason as to why we don't want marriages
1. commitment to a monogamy. Women becomes to much controlling with to much powers in the house and men hates that
2. personality traits differs as were are raised in different family with different backgounds and temparament
3. stereotyping
4. 50/50 rules sucks. Women consider themself as equal with men so they don't want to listen to what there husband tell them
5 if you marry the wrong women, surely you get burned
6 the population ratio. Inorder to accommondate women into maritual status, at least 4 women for 1 man. So there are too many women out there without husband who can treat men much better that they one who keep on nagging, wining etc
7 financial responsibilities. Some time being married caused financial difficulties
8. Lack of support or examples. Most follk marry ate later ages so those who are young have no one to set them as an example
9. Background checks. Some related to drugs of crimes
10. Age differences

Perhaps it's the idea of "handing yourself over" to another person. Perhaps it's past pain from an awful partner. Perhaps it's the "meshing" of lives and households.

No matter the reason, it doesn't have to be a big deal. :) I mean, if a guy tells you up front that he isn't into marriage, you know what he's willing to do and not do. Trying to change him is silly. In time, he will change inside or he won't, but making him a project is uncool and won't work. Take him as he is unless his bottom line doesn't fit your own. Even then it's no biggie, really. There are plenty of folks out there whose bottom line will match your own.

BTW, it's the same with the ladies out there who aren't marriage minded. :)

Marriage used to be a religious thing where couples committed to each other and helped each other throughout their lives. At some point, marriage became a legal thing. Legal things scare people, especially the way the courts in the U.S. treat men when divorces happen. I have never been married, will never be married, and I advise against strongly against marriage. That being said, you will probably get married several times throughout your lifetime... Good luck!

When women get married they expect they can change their man. When men get married they expect that their woman won't change.

But the women do change, often not for the better.
- They suddenly aren't interested in doing what they were to get him to keep him.
- Sexual frequency and passion decline and often stop.
- Many women stop taking care of themselves.
- If you're trapped in a marriage and your partner doesn't want to work on it, your only option is a messy divorce.
- If there is a divorce you'll lose half of everything you own, and often have to pay alimony.

Scary stuff!!! Marriage is VERY unforgiving and there is a huge cost to making a mistake when chosing your partner.

TY for the "some" there. There are a lot of women who fear a marraige commitment as well and there arre many reason why for both. Some fear being hurt, and some fear missing out on soemthing.

maybe some men like myself like things perfectly the way they are. Its only a tradition and being in a de facto relationship has as much rights as a married couple. Is it because women want to be a princess for a day and pressure the guy to do so?
