A question for butch lesbians?

If butch lesbians love women then why do they dress, cut their hair and act like men? Surely if you are a lesbian you should love everything about women. So why do butch lesbians like everything about men except the male brain? Also all sex toys used by lesbians are dildos? But apparently they dont like penis? So why are they using a fake one to pleasure each other?

Same situation with gay men who are extremely girly and go for girly gay boys.....they claim not to like women but they date males that are girly?

No that's not the case. I am a male so I dress like one. Women who are straight dress like women because they are women. That's just normality. Women are attracted to men because they act, dress and are men. So why would a man dress like a woman? Unless he gay? And trying to impress a gay man who wants to be with a girly boy but apparently he is attracted to men?

Cant really say I am hurt by a white butch lesbian with the screen name "Original Gangsta" now I didn't say all lesbians were butch, short haired. i did may the point of saying "Butch Lesbians" and whether you like it or not they exist and they are extremely similiar in the their apperance.

i've never thought of it that way before, but it makes sense.

if lesbians aren't attracted to men and desire women, why wouldn't butch lesbians try to look and act more womenly?

and if gays aren't attracted to women and are attracted to men, why wouldn't they act more manly?

no offense to anyone, but i never could understand why there are homosexual couples at all when all they do is simulate the actions of a straight couple.

The only thing that I could think is that a lot of lesbians want the softness of another woman and maybe for them a butch lesbian is too complicated. I don't know why honestly. I think its stupid too. Perhaps if they weren't so quick to judge they may find out that it could be just as awesome as a "nonbutch" lesbian relationship. For me, I love a person for who they are. love does not know sexual orientation. My husband and I are both bisexual but have chosen to be together because we love the person and are not particular about sexual preferences. Your sexual preference should not lead to hate of other people because of theirs. Everyone has the right to love whoever they chose. Just because some lesbians are butch and others don't prefer that doesn't mean that they should hate on butch lesbians. If I chose to be with a woman I don't think it would matter to me.

Look, this is simple. A butch woman is a woman. An effeminate man is a man. If a woman who is attracted to butch women could just as easily be attracted to men, by that same rationale, a straight man like you should be able to be attracted to an effeminate man, right? That's not how it works.

Lesbians are attracted to other women, gay men are attracted to other men. This "observation" of yours will not make sense to anyone who isn't straight. To try to explain why people are attracted to which ever type they are attracted is always going to be fruitless. Say that you're attracted to women with hourglass figures; could you put into words to someone who likes a slender frame the exact reason that this trait you like is better? Maybe you could speak with some enthusiasm about why you prefer it, but ultimately, it's just what you like. In this same regard, for lesbians who go for butch girls, it's just what they like too.

And I'm not even sure why I answered this question. The way you posed this question makes it abundantly clear that you've already decided that it's just weird and doesn't make sense. Otherwise you wouldn't be ignoring the people who tried to answer honestly, while agreeing with the only person who thinks exactly like you do.

Well I'm not butch but I can answer some of your questions.

The reason many (but not all) lesbians use dildos is because penises are conveniently about the right shape to be pleasureable. However, many dildos are not designed to actually look like penises beyond the basic shape. Many dildos do not look anything like penises at all. In fact the better ones are quite different. I for one know that if I went out and bought a dildo today it would look as far as possible from a penis.

The reason some lesbians are butch is because they feel more in touch, or comfortable with their masculine side. (This doesn't mean they actually want to be men, just that they are more comfortable in less girly clothes. Youll notice that clothes that aren't girly are manly, and hence, they end up looking more like men. But they are still women.

I feel I am a soft butch lesbian, that means I dress more like a 'tomboy' and my mannerism are probably more like a 'tomboy". I have NEVER been interested in femme clothes - even when I thought I was straight. It felt totally strange to me. Even though I was never comfortable in femme clothes or femme mannerisms and makeup, I NEVER wanted to be a guy.
You can not begin to get into the mind of someone else -- specially sincce you have already set you mind in the negative mode.
I would never suggest that I speak for all gay people, or for all lesbians, but we are all different and have diiferent tastes and different comfort levels. Just because a woman dresses really mannish doesn't mean she wants to be a guy. She might enjoy the power a man gets in this life but does not physically want to be a man. I have met several gay men who enjoy dressing in very soft clothing, rather feminine clothing. They tell me it feels good. I wouldn't know - I thought girly clothing was useless except for attracting horny straight men.

I'm not a lesbian, but I can say that I do often dress in men's clothing. It's comfortable. As for "acting" like a man, can you honestly tell me that you have chosen to act in the way that you do? There are many things about the way I act, and many "flaws" in my personality, that I do not like, but can (or will) I change them? No. These are the things that make me who I am. Also, sex toys are made in a way that fits a woman's body intimately, thereby resulting in the greatest amount of pleasure. Can we help it if that shape happens to be a penis? I, for one, could do without the ego associated with that organ. You seem to need the reminder that we can't choose who we are, anymore than we can choose who we love.

Hey, man. My favourite food is buffalo wings. I could eat them every day of my life and be happy about it. But do I want to go around dressing like a saucy chicken wing everyday? Nope.

Just because you like something doesn t mean you have to dress like it or be it.

As for liking men but not their brain... I like their brain. I love hanging with guys as long as they aren t pricks. I have no problem with them. I just don t want to sleep with them, the idea makes me physically sick and all I can blame that on is that I was born that way. Idk how to explain it. It s like trying to explain why your eyes are blue.

Actually, lesbians don t all use dildos and we have more sex toys than just dildos, fyi. A lot of lesbians don t even like being penetrated, so... Dildos are just vagina-shaped tools to get off, really.

you are generalizing first of all. you are making false statements about a "type" of lesbian, and honestly you couldnt be more wrong. i consider myself a butch lesbian, but i would have to disagree with everything you say butch lesbians do. you must be a very ignorant straight male...just like the rest of them. either that or you are just jealous you cant get all the ladies...ouch!

Im not a lesbian but this is what I think basically alot of lesbians would be straight if men werent such jerks hence the sex toys.They like penises they just dont like you and once when schemming of how to freak out my recent ex I thought I know I will go out with a girl.He will die!However I just couldnt realy see myself doing it.The thing is I think women are better listeners.Men just flat out ignore their women.Maybe women go Gay because they just really want someone to care about them and men just dont offer it that much and all love with men has strings.Tit for tat, A freind wants to care about you but often men only care for themselves.Women get tired of being ignored and neglected.
