Going to Florida with husband who does NOT like to fly and two boys 6, & 8 who have NEVER been on an airplane. Because of when the flight was booked, could only get 3 seats together, the other is off by it's self.
Would I be a bad mom if I made my husband sit with the boys, while I sit by myself and relax ?

LOL I love you girl!
It probably doesn't make you the most supportive person on the planet, but hell, who says you have to do all the work?
Your husband already doesn't like to fly and your boys are new at it, so why not have them form a network, they can support each other!!! YaY them!
Have a drink on me on the plane girl!

i became 20 and my husband became 22 at our wedding ceremony, and that i drank and somewhat have photos of me eating and no person pronounced something, including the marriage planner and wait group. in spite of if that's informal, as in some beverages throughout the evening, no person would have an issue yet once you get below the impression of alcohol then i think of somebody would say something. On a facet word, i'm extraordinarily confident the regulation in Florida is that your criminal father or mom can supervise you eating at their living house or a private experience. Your mothers and dads are your criminal guardians till you get married, then it is your husband afterwards, so i think of you're secure.

If you explain to the counter / check in agent that you would like the family to sit together. They can ask if anyone would like to trade seats. Airlines are fighting to keep customers and they will make accommodations. Besides this is a family trip and Dad needs help with the boys.

I think your husband would be more comfortable sitting with some of his family rather than by himself since he does not like to fly. Also, since there will be one person by themselves, it's probably best not to make one of your boys do that (as you know haha)! After takeoff and everything then you can come check on everyone and provide your motherly help when needed! =)

It depends on how badly your husband hates to fly. He may not be much of a help to the children if they become afraid.

I think its appropriate.
If he doesnt like to fly, why would he want to sit by himself?
And it wouldnt be right to put one of the boys by themselves if it is their first time flying.
You can also say it to him like your trying to help him instead of relax yourself! =]
Hope that helps!

If you want to be selfish, sure. Go ahead and put him with your kids.
