#2 is not a well written question - in my opinion.
The answer could be "a" or "all the above" depending on the bias of your teacher. Answer "a" is closer to the truth. If the teacher says it is "e", you might argue this politely. Most of these men drank alcohol. Most did not visit brothels. A few did.
My ancestors were German and Irish immigrants, and I teach college history.
