Going to Florida with husband who does NOT like to fly and two boys 6, & 8 who have NEVER been on an airplane. Because of when the flight was booked, could only get 3 seats together, the other is off by it's self.
Would I be a bad mom if I made my husband sit with the boys, while I sit by myself and relax ?

You won't be a bad mom, but that is rather inconsiderate of you to think of having your husband deal with 2 children when he will be nervous about flying already.

Call the airline directly, explain the situation. It may not be able to be remedied until the day of the flight, however, so get to the airport PLENTY early.

I have 2 children as well, when they were younger, we'd sit 2 together--me with 1 child, hubby with another. It's usually easier to find 2 seats together than 4.

YES! BUT only because your kids have never flown before and your husband is going to be poor comfort if he is afraid of flying. That could really scar your kids. If none of those things applied, I'd say go for it. Sorry!

Someone will switch with you so that you can all sit together. People are pretty cool like that. The boys will be fine, visit the bar before you get on the plane so your husband is a little tipsy...he'll be fine :)

Sit by yourself. Ask someone next to the three seats to trade seats with you.

One of you should sit with the kids since they are pretty young. I would suggest you sitting with them since he doesn't like to fly. That way his perception of flying doesn't wear off on them.
