I am pretty sure that it is unadvised by medics to fly past the 7th month of pregnancy and no i do not believe that your child will have UK citizenship otherwise i am sure many thousands of foreigners would be doing this.

No.

Citizenship does not work that way and it never as in the modern world! Where a child is born as no bearing on the child's citizenship nor would the child have any right to claim citizenship at a future date.

Citizenship is passed down from the parents, period!

As far as I know, the government removed that rubbish legislation some time ago, meaning your child, if born in the UK, will not be a UK citizen unless you are a UK citizen already. This (very rightly) closed the legal loophole which was abused by many thousands of foreign tourists for a long period of time.

Usually they don't recommend travelling in the last trimester of pregnancy unless you have too, and some airlines will even ask for a doctor's form to say you are OK to fly. Having said that if you want your child to have your nationality, have it at the embassy of your Nation.
