My sister is having twin boys and is naming them Dante and Damien. Personally I LOVE her decision. It's different, interesting, and kind of rebellious which fits her(her and her husband own a tattoo parlor and have that kind of tattooed/pierced look). She's set on these names, but I was just curious if anyone else thought the same as I did, because I love the idea.

Dante, as in Dante's Inferno, a book about Hell.
Damien, the name of the Antichrist from the movie "The Omen".
I wonder if they are trying to say something there?

I think Dante and Damien are both beautiful names, and are unique, but not so off the beaten path, people will mock them.
I will say this thought.. we had my daughter in January, and we went in with a couple names.. and it wasn't until we saw her beautiful little face that we knew which name was most fitting for her.
So if I can make a suggestion is .. suggest to your sister, to have a couple back up names, in case when her sons are born, maybe she looks at their beautiful little faces, and realizes.. maybe one or both of those names don't fit.
Know what I mean?
With that thought in mind.. if they like D names.. I find that Declan and Digory are right up there in my favirotes.

I dont like either of those names. Damien is just a cruel name Dante not as bad

I love the name Dante..dont really like Damien much but they sound really cute together..its growing on me.

I like Dante a lot. Makes me think of The Clerks movies.
Not feeling Damien. It makes me think of a mean little spiteful boy. Not saying that will be what your nephew is, just saying what the name makes me think of.
