I'm not sure if i've recieved a scam letter,it said i have $13,425.00 AUD prize status pending.they ask me to pay $25 for the game that i have come 4th in.Is this a scam letter.It's signed Walt Norman can anyone help me.

this is definately a scam ... this general "foreign lottery" scam comes in all shapes, sizes and colors. you have received just one of the many, many variations. it sounds like you have received an older version but in the world of scams, it seems people never learn so they never go out of style. more recently, you actually get the check for the "winnings" and after depositing it, they request you send back a fee (sound legitimate enough, right?) ... only problem is your bank credits your account with the winnings in a day or two but then debits the amount weeks later after they investigate and the check is determined to be fraudulent. too bad you sent off a real check to the scammers which has been converted to cash leaving you in the hole ...

Yes it is a scam, the bad part is it comes from overseas and is hard to trace. Delete it and do not ever open email from anyone you do not know.

Yes, it's a scam.

Send it to the Post Office fraud office. (US Postal Inspectors in America, Royal Mail Police in England, whatever it's called where you are)
