Based on reviews, he seems to do a good job distinguishing between the physics and history he presents, and the philosophizing he offers. From his reputation, the physics and history are likely to be flawless. It's hard to rate philosophy by 'accuracy'.

I presume you mean Dreams of a Final Theory, by Stephen Weinberg.
