We live in a world of pure evil and many people forgot about manners. If being overly polite is a problem that goes to show how much more we as human beings have fallen off from morals. On the other hand if the person is clearly being overly polite and you feel it's not genuine then show some caution because there's most likely a negative reason behind it.

they are a serious breath of fresh air. there too many sarcastic and cynical rude people today and hearing someone say please or thank-you is a nice change.
