How many questions have you answered like this one?
Why can't we just get along doesn't really say it anymore for me.
What ever happened to the word nice?
I am one of the few, rare people who believe in manners.
Just to give you an idea, when I hold a door open for a girl in my school who I don't know. They just kinda stop for 5 seconds wondering what I'm doing till they finally get the fact that I'm holding it open for them.
Why do we hate each other just because of how we look, or what we believe in?
I'm gonna put some easy ones out there. How many times have you seen a kid of a high social class tease, mock, even assault a kid of a lower social class? How bout racial discrimination? Goin both ways for that last one.
Now for someones people just don't think about. Christan's and atheists. You're both fighting and yelling at each other, you both forget that Christians are suppose to love there enemy's and that atheists are suppose to be open minded. Emos vs preps. Gang violence. etc.

How about the more subtle things?
Like when someone walks into a room and greets one person but not the other?
People my age don't understand the concept of introducting their friends. If I'm out with a friend, for instance, and a friend of theirs comes along, the two will begin talking about people and things I don't know about while I stand there stupidly. Common sense...introduce the two friends and include both in the conversation.
These things just get on my nerves on a daily basis...they create so much tension!

To get along well with others is an art and it appears that not many people have tried to develop it. Well, since we cannot change others, we can well maintain our good manners. We can hope that others may take up good manners gradually. People do learn by imitating and they may imitate good etiquettes too.

This is all soooo true. Humans love drama....period. If we all truly "got along" then I think we would drive one another insane in some other form. We always criticize one another for every aspect of our lives. Whether it be religion, fashion, race, etc.. Whenever there is differences among us, there will always be prejudice.

I understand what you are saying.. But if we all lived like what you ask.. It would be a perfect world, and then people would get bored.
