Too much freedom? Hmmmmm. Ever think about the implications of the sales pitch "achieve financial freedom."
As to civil liberties, social compact stuff. I do think we don't realize how important it is to have checks placed on our government and we are far to willing to give them up under the false belief that "if you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear" because we have not ever experienced a real police state.

Freedom of speech and freedom of ideology. These two freedoms are taken for granted by many americans, and as such they are wasted. Too many people just sit back waiting for some other person solve thier problems because of the apathy that builds up when freedom is not back by responsibility.
As far as having to much freedom, I do not believe that there is such a thing. Now if we talk about responsibility, the responsibility to take part in decision making, to treat others with respect and humanity and most importantly of all responsibility to take responsibility for our lives, towns and country, then I would say that the US needs much much more.
Hope this helps.

A lot of Americans take their freedom of choice for granted. That may seem like a small thing, but it is not. Some seem contented with letting others decide for them, such as those who will not vote.
Free speech is very much taken for granted, and often confused with irresponsible speech. Free speech doesn't mean that you can say what you want without consequences.
We don't have too much freedom. The problem is we're afraid to use the freedom we have.

It isn't that we have to much freedom. Freedom is important. I feel that the Media, the TV Networks and the Government, has to much freedom. The Media and the Networks keep us distracted. While we are distracted, the Government such as the Democrats scheme on how much more money they can suck off of you and me. And the stupid laws that they can come up. So, we don't have as much freedom as we use too. Freedom of Speech hardly exist. Heaven help you if you say a bad word on the phone and your punk son tapes it and sells it to a dirty filthy gossip magazine. And then it causes a bunch of Activists who but in and demand that this person hangs. Our freedom is vanishing.

Voting-for 1 is taken for granted way too much
Right to bear arms- many lives lost to pointless violence
I would say we have way too much freedom. I think once you get to the point where people are able to go to the street corner for crack, something has gone wrong.

I think we really take our religious freedom for granted. I know a lot of people on here cry about someone making fun of their answers or mocking their religion, but there are countries in the world where people of the "wrong" religion are beaten, imprisoned, and even killed. It's like the "War on Christmas" stupidity every year. Fundies get uptight because department stores wish them "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas." Then a week after Christmas, I got a prayer updated from the Voice of Martyrs, telling about a Christian congregation in China, I believe, who were all drug out of their Christmas day service and beaten. Wow. All of a sudden, "Happy Holidays" doesn't sound so bad, does it?

when you consider, that we own absolutly nothing, then no we have no freedom anymore, that was over long ago when the IRS was formed, and all the other agencies, that tax us, and lie about it, so we really have no freedom, none at all, except for going to church, and they may even take that away from us.!!!! I guess we have the freedom to walk down the street, but if you don't pay your house taxes, then you have no house, and no street to walk down, think about it!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS YOU

The Freedom or "right" to bear arms, or whatever the hell it's called, is taken for granted in epic proportions.
The amount of innocents being killed because of drug related abuses of this freedom, are at ridiculous levels in the USA and Canada.
