BAHAHAHAHA smoochey coochey haha i wonder if they got sick of that eventually!? It is a bit sickening... Honey buns is a bit weird.
My sister in law calls my brother bunny!? no idea why, nothing cute about him!
My bf and i use pet names, but ours are Dear (pretty old school ahaha) we both use that and he calls me darlin'
But nothing all smoochy woochy poochy coochy like. Just basically the plain stuff.
I dont really like babe....it's too common.

We're not up to the pet names stage yet, luckily. In the past I've been called hon (which I absolutely hate, and will punch anyone who will attempt it!!), googie (which I thought was sweet and funny) and Romeo. I tend to call people by their given names.

It's a little sickening. I jokingly call my boyfriend schmoopy, like in Seinfeld.

I don't care what they call each other--it's sickeningly sweet. Are they trying to convince others or themselves that they are so much in love? The more bizarre the pet name, the more nauseating it is.

It depends on how sugary the names are. The every day ones like "dear" are ok, but if they start the baby-talk names like"smoochie-woochie" and stuff like that - I reserve the right to throw things at them.

I suppose it's better than a**hole and b*tch. That would probably make people feel tense around them.
My b/f says that when I use his first name, it reminds him of not-so-good days with his dad...I had trouble not using it, but have adapted.
