sadly if you really want HP, then your going to have to spend some money. The Grand Am is a hard car to get cheap power out of, cause the aftermarket is so small. hell most people dont even know there is a aftermarket.

hate to say this but all these guys are right, its not worth investing money into that car especially when you don't even the highest model and there are hardly any parts for that engine as it was never intended to be high performance

All HP takes money, and there is no such thing as "max HP" - it all depends on your wallet, and how unreliable you want the engine to be (since more power always means less life.) There are no free "tweaks" that really give you anything.

Money spent on a old body style front wheel drive car with a 7 year old engine just don't do it. Please save up for a new G-8 with a LS-2 V-8 motor.
